I'm not sure how many of you are receiving a lot of spam... but this is how we got rid of a lot of ours here at the office. It isn't any rocket science and perhaps some of you are already doing this... but here are the steps.
- sign up for a gmail account (www.gmail.com)
- forward all of our incoming mail to the new gmail account
- get a new POP email account from your ISP
- get gmail to forward all mail to this new POP email account
During the in and out with gmail, it will strip away most of the spam! Actually, since 1030am today, it has filtered 235 spam messages.
The bonus of this is that you can log into gmail anywhere and have a copy of your email sitting there... and you can use your cell phone to log into the gmail mobile and get your emails when you're travelling or away from your computer.
Slick as can be.
