Housemates and Life-partners.
What are we trying to hide when we use "housemate" and "life-partner"? Kristin used them today. We thought she was trying to hide something. A normal person would say roommate, for example, over housemate. I think she was thiiiiiiiiiiiis close to using "flatmate".
Enjoyed lunch with Alex Godfrey again today... he's got quite an Easter planned... sounds like it won't just be an easter bunny surprising his family this year -- well, unless that easter bunny is dressed like a Molson Canadian girl.

I thought we're not supposed to mention Godfrey's name??!
Oops!!! hahahaa
This is the first time I've ever received a reaction to the term "housemate". I dont have a "roommate" because we dont share a room. That was back in university. I've moved up in the world. I know live in a house with my friend Kerry. Therefore, we refer to each other as "housemates".
Perhaps that's the reason why we're often referred as "the lesbians of stanhope" !!!
d'oh.
