How objective can you be?
One of the "chefs-in-training" said that the pork was really good and he also made it. I chose chicken. How objective can a person be when they made it themselves? How objective can a person be about their religion, province, school, friends, etc? Both sides to the Islamic issue in Europe that has come home to UPEI are both right...but I'm quite certain that they would not be able to speak objectively about the issue because they are too immersed in their personal experience. To learn the lessons that we need to learn on this earth, we must see and appreciate both sides of every coin and realize that we need both sides. A one-sided coin is worthless, right?

No Laughing Matter
Wow! That's all I could say after Sandy had finished his speech about feeling/phases you go through in life. If you need advise, I'm sure Sandy can help. He's got an excellent philosophical way to analyze your issues! Dico, Donnie, and I sat around the table and listed quietly to Sandy's lesson about life. Dico was so fascinated that he proposed to Sandy to give us a speech like this every lunch to make all of us wiser. Speaking about wisdom! Whoever placed that cartoon in the UPEI Cadre wasn't very wise. I definitely think this is not an issue to joke around about but apparently others think it is. The only reason they placed it in the Cadre is simply because it's such a hot topic at this moment. If it wasn't, they never would've placed it. Very disappointing how people can make such decisions thinking it would be cool or funny. So I'm today I can't give our topic a funny twist simply because too many people have already been offended by this issue and I think it's time for this to stop. Hopefully, the dude who placed, printed, and re-printed a whole new bunch of Cadre's will realize this soon as well...

The Prophet Peardon
Todays topic is perhaps a bit touchy to some. I, for one, have been totally oblivious to the whole shinanigans. Not just that the UPEI Cadre reprinted the cartoons, but that cartoons were printed at all --- months ago. Perhaps I have been living under a rock. I heard about this for the first time at breakfast this morning with G&E and they had to tell me all about it. Then just before lunch I went to the CBC site to gain a bit more knowledge. At the end of the day I'm probably indifferent as being a Christian we see parodys of Jesus Christ around us -- Hallowe'en is a great example, you're bound to run into one or two. Albeit I recall a lot of pirates this year as well. If you don't know what all the fuss is about, click here and CBC will explain Sandy also enlightened us with some uplifting information. Harma, Donnie and I were like children listening to Sandy's wisdom! Donnie suggested that Sandy end each meal with a heart warming story. The Prophet Peardon is born!

Better late than never?
Good afternoon folks. Sorry so late today, there is much to do here at work so I will just give you a quick hello today. My lunch was great. Super pork. Had a chance to Kristin today. She hasn't been around so much lately. It was nice to see her for a few mins. I "myself" can't believe that Dico began hearing about the unrest abroad regarding the cartoons this morning. Fark can only give you so much! There are legitamate news sources out there too you know. Well back to work.
